Financial support

UZH's Student Financial Aid Office offers various forms of financial aid, including scholarships, interest-free loans, and hardship loans for students in need. Students can also apply for a one-off loan ('Pecunia') to cover one-off expenses such as rent deposits or defective technical equipment. Excellence scholarships are also available for particularly high-achieving students. These grants help you to secure your studies financially so that you can concentrate on your academic goals.

Psychological counselling

The UZH Psychological Counseling Services are open to all students who need support with personal or study-related problems. Counseling is free, confidential, and offered in several languages. Students can take advantage of individual counseling sessions to help them overcome challenges such as stress, exam anxiety, or personal crises. In addition, group offers and workshops on specific topics are available to help you promote your mental health during your studies.
